Gov. Ned Lamont’s Office And CT DEEP Are To Host Public Press Conference On Monday, July 17th In New Haven, CT.

Gov. Ned Lamont’s office and CT DEEP are hosting a press conference at 11 am, Monday, July 17th, at A1 Toyota in New Haven (50 Amity Rd, New Haven, CT 06515) to announce the opening of the comment period for Connecticut to implement the medium and heavy-duty motor vehicle standards of the state of California as set out in Public Act 22-25 and the Clean Air Act.

DEEP staff explained they are opening the comment period as early as this Friday, July 15, depending on the timing of Commissioner Dyke’s signature.

At the Monday presser, they are hoping for a strong turnout from advocacy organizations such as the Transportation Climate Coalition, the lead group that brought Public Act 22-25 (SB4) across the line in 2022. The Connecticut Roundtable On Climate And Jobs strongly encourages the public to show support for reduced emissions by attending the press conference and joining the discussion.
