CT DEEP Releases Draft RFP For Offshore Wind Development In Connecticut

CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection released the draft offshore wind RFP notice on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 and announced the public comment period to close on August 8, 2023.

What Happens Next?

Given the short timeline for public comments, the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs has partnered with local legislators and climate justice advocates to facilitate an informal public forum for an open discussion of transparency, accountability, and community benefits in the state’s 2023 offshore wind solicitation process.

The Connecticut Roundtable on Climate Jobs encourages members of the public to join us on Wednesday, August 2 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Rockfall Foundation located at 27 Washington Street, Middletown, CT 06457.

We encourage our audience to sign the Fair & Accountable Offshore Wind Petition, register for the August 2nd Offshore Wind Forum, and submit a comment to DEEP before the August 8th deadline.
