Environmental Rights and Environmental Justice with Maya van Rossum

The Green Amendments Movement in New Haven, CT

On Wednesday, April 19th, the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs (CRCJ) joined the Environmental Rights and Environmental Justice panel at the United Church on the Green in New Haven, CT hosted by Maya K. Van Rossum, the founder of the Green Amendments movement in Connecticut. A group of Connecticut advocates for environmental justice including Aziz Dehkan, Executive Director of the CRCJ, led a community discussion on climate change, just transition, social equity, the importance of a green economy, and the current state of our nation’s environmental policy. The list of panelists included:  Alex Rodriguez, an Environmental Justice Specialist from Save the Sound, Aziz Dehkan, the Executive Director of the CT Roundtable on Climate and Jobs, Ian McDonald, member of No More Dirty Power in Killingly, and Gabriela Campos, activist and co-creator of FlyTweedFacts.org.  Missed the discussion?
