Connecticut State Council of Machinists

We are the electoral and legislative arm of the Machinists Union in our state, representing approximately 7000 members from all walks of life, including school bus drivers, healthcare workers and machinists. We fight for workers’ interests in the political arena, and the Machinists union motto is “service to the community and justice on the job.”

The most important thing which we can leave our children and grandchildren is a healthy and clean planet earth, and the Roundtable provides us that opportunity. This is the real “National Emergency” of our lifetime and will be a legacy which humanity will be measured on.

The Connecticut State Council of Machinists was the first organization to become a Roundtable Affiliate, and we are proud to be part of this collective action to reduce carbon emissions and to educate our membership and the community in which we live on the importance of addressing climate change and its effects on our future.
