We are delighted to share some wonderful news with you! The Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs has been awarded a Partners For Places grant. This grant will play a crucial role in empowering Connecticut’s frontline environmental justice communities in Bridgeport through education on climate change, enhancing informed decision-making, and strengthening self-advocacy for residents.
Our initiative, made possible by this grant, aims to:
Educate residents on the impacts and realities of climate change, providing them with the knowledge needed to understand and tackle environmental challenges.
Enhance informed decision-making by equipping community members with the tools and information necessary to make well-informed choices about their environment and future.
Strengthen self-advocacy for residents, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized in climate-related policies and initiatives.
This project is a collaborative effort. We are proud to work alongside the city’s sustainability manager and the frontline community group, PT Partners, to ensure the success of this initiative.
We believe that empowering our communities is key to creating a sustainable and equitable future. With this grant, we are taking a significant step toward achieving that goal.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our mission. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and the positive impact this initiative will have on our community.
