Thursday, May 1, 2025 is May Day—International Workers’ Day—a global celebration of the working class and a moment to recognize the power of collective action. At CRCJ, we honor the workers, union organizers, and climate justice advocates who fight every day for a fairer, more sustainable future.
But this year, May Day carries even greater urgency.
Across the country and right here in Connecticut, workers and the nonprofits that support them are under growing pressure. From union-busting and budget cuts to weakened environmental protections, this moment calls for bold, united action.
That’s why we’re launching a May Day Flash Fundraiser—and we need your help.
Thanks to a generous commitment from our Board, every donation made by May 1st will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $1,750. That means your gift will go twice as far to sustain our organizing, uplift our communities, and protect our planet.
Here’s how you can take action today:
✅ Donate: Whether it’s $10 or $100, every contribution helps us continue the fight for climate and worker justice. Your support helps close urgent funding gaps and fuels policy advocacy at the state and federal level.
✅ Become an Affiliate Member: Encourage your organization to join CRCJ as an affiliate member. Membership is flexible—organizations contribute what they can—and helps strengthen our collective voice in demanding climate and economic justice.
✅ Show up: Join us Thursday, May 1st, at a May Day rally in Hartford or New Haven. We’ll be standing alongside workers and community allies to call for investments in public good, clean energy jobs, and frontline communities.
Let’s make this May Day a turning point.
Your support—whether through a donation, organizational membership, or rally attendance—makes a real difference. Together, we can push back against harmful policies and advance solutions that center both people and planet.
Donate by May 1, 2025, and help us build a cleaner, more just Connecticut—one where no one is left behind.
