Showing Up for One Another: A Mutual Aid Conversation for Environmental Justice & Community Resilience

Part of CRCJ’s Community Resilience Planning Workshop Series

Tonight, the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs (CRCJ) hosts a virtual Community Resilience Planning Mutual Aid Conversation, bringing together advocates from across the state to ask a grounding question:

How can we support one another through this moment?

This conversation is part of CRCJ’s ongoing Community Resilience Planning Workshop Series, a space intentionally created to strengthen movement relationships, elevate community voice, and share tools for resilience across environmental justice, labor, and faith-based organizations.

As federal protections are rolled back and many of our partners face staffing cuts, funding losses, and increased pressure, it’s clear: we need each other now more than ever.

This evening’s Mutual Aid Conversation invites participants into a no-pressure, come-as-you-are space to:

      • 💬 Share what kinds of support organizations need—and what they’re able to offer

      • 🤝 Explore what mutual aid looks like for our networks

      • 🌱 Begin building a stronger, more connected movement infrastructure

Whether you’re showing up with a specific ask, an offering, or just a desire to feel less alone in the work, this gathering is rooted in solidarity, care, and collective power.

Already, participants are beginning to name both tangible and intangible resources they can share—ranging from meeting space and funding strategy tips to emotional labor, political analysis, and organizing muscle.

This isn’t just a meeting—it’s a reminder that our movements are stronger when we are in relationship, when we are honest about what we need, and when we are generous with what we have. Register now.

    What’s Next?

CRCJ continues to host gatherings under the Community Resilience Planning banner—each designed to deepen collaboration and provide meaningful space for strategic alignment among environmental justice partners.
