Standing Together in Uncertain Times: You’re Invited to Our May 14 Community Strategy Convening

We are living in a moment of deep uncertainty. Federal rollbacks on critical environmental and social justice protections are threatening the progress our movements have fought so hard to achieve. At the same time, working families across Connecticut continue to face rising costs, environmental harms, and systemic inequities that cannot be ignored.

In response to these growing challenges, the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs is hosting a Community Strategy Convening on Wednesday, May 14, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Hubbard Room at Russell Library in Middletown, CT.

This convening is an opportunity to bring together labor leaders, environmental justice advocates, and community organizers for a shared conversation about where we are—and where we go from here. Together, we will:

  • Build relationships across movements and sectors
  • Share critical updates on policy and organizing threats
  • Co-create bold, local strategies to protect our communities
  • Imagine what collective resistance looks like in this moment

We are especially grateful for leaders like Attorney General William Tong, who continue to show strong support for Connecticut’s workers and a clean energy future—particularly through his advocacy for offshore wind and economic justice. His leadership is a reminder of the power we have when we unite around shared values and a vision for a more equitable, sustainable state.

We hope you’ll join us on May 14 to listen, share, strategize, and stand together. Light refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome.
